Return to Regular Timetable

Assalaamu Alaikum

Dear Parents

Just a quick reminder that we will be reverting to our regular school timetable (see below) from tomorrow with the re-introduction of the new Arabic Studies syllabus. Students will be allocated their new Arabic class during school tomorrow. Please check your children’s diary cover to see their allocation after school.

In addition, by the Grace of Allah (swt) we have been able to secure access to a large marquee on the school grounds while the hall is being repaired which means that the school day will end with all students going to the marquee for the congregational Dhuhr prayer. We invite all parents to join us during this time too.

Children can be dropped to and collected from the marquee. Please enter from the school playground gates and make your way towards the school field. The marquee entrance doors are on the left.

We are pleased to advise that MKIS School of Islamic Studies will be open this Sunday (12.03.17) insha Allah.  The school hall remains out of bounds and so we will be operating with temporary measures for the foreseeable future until the hall is available for use again.

Please take note of the following temporary changes:-

  • There will be no assemblies in the morning or afternoon.
  • Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. sharp – There will be no waiting area inside so please ensure you arrive on time and drop your children at the door.
  • Please do not accompany your children to their classes during this temporary period.
  • No Tuckshop – Please ensure your children bring their own drinks and snacks. Breaks will be held within classrooms.
  • No congregational Dhuhr prayer – due to the hall being unavailable
  • School will end at 1:15 p.m. – Please arrive in time to collect your children from the school courtyard as normal.

Jazakoum’Allah khayr for your understanding and support during this temporary mode of operation.  We will communicate as soon as we are advised that the hall is available for use again.
