Asslaaamu Alaikum

If your child(ren) missed their tests at the end of last term, please ensure they are at school on 4th January to allow them to be taken then.

Notices

Dhuhr Prayer Time Change

Please note we will be holding our normal congregational Dhuhr prayer at midday for the next few months.  This means Arabic Studies will run through until 1:30 p.m.  Please come to school to collect your children at this time and no earlier.

Late Arrival to School

As announced during assembly last week, despite many warnings late attendance continues to be a problem.  As a result any students arriving late for the 3rd occasion since the start of Term 1 will be asked to return home.  Late attendance causes disruption to the morning assembly and first lesson so please help us by ensuring you bring your child(ren) to school by no later than 9:50 a.m.

School Starts 13th September 2015 – Enrolments Now Closed

School starts Sunday 13th September at Southwood School in Conniburrow insha Allah.

Just a reminder to existing families and to inform new families starting that assembly is held at 10.00 a.m. prompt. A late attendance register is taken for students arriving past this time as doors are closed just before assembly and repeat late arrivals will result in a discussion held with parents.

Information handbooks and school diaries will be issued during school this Sunday.  School bags will be distributed to new families over the next few days. New children aged 5 – 7 have been automatically assigned to classes as follows:

5 Years old go to Class 1

6 Years old go to Class 2

7 Years old go to Class 3.

All returning students are to line up as per their classes last year.  New students will be informed of their classes once returning students have left the hall in order to keep disruption to a minimum.

The reception desk will have details of which class your child is in if you are unsure.

Please ensure your child(ren) come to school with pens/pencils/exercise books and snacks/money for use in out tuck shop.

We would like to ask parents to please bear with us as the start of term is always a busy period.
